Satan Sucks and I Hate Him!!!

Jerusalem was attacked by Satan via the demonic forces of the Assyrian Army.  Lies and false promises were repeatedly put forth in an effort to deceive Hezekiah and his people.  But Hezekiah was able to mourn, seek counsel, and turn to the directions of God and by doing so openly, Jerusalem was able to overcome by the workings of our loving heavenly Father.

§  Spiritual Warfare

o   We are in a war and it is with Satan & his demonic forces as the enemy!  Satan’s demonic legion is always after us. (Eph 6:12, John 10:10a, 1Peter 5:8-9, 2Cor 10:3-5)

o   Satan’s army will try to get in your mind with lies & accusations (John 8:44, Rev 12:10c).  He uses blinded, non-believers as a means of attack (2Cor. 4:4).

§  Conflicting Mentalities

o   God has plans & purposes for your existence (Jer. 29:11, John 10:10b, 2Cor 5:5).

o   Satan is prince of this world and he doesn’t want to give it or you up.

o   Satan wishes Guilt, Sadness, Anxiety, Fear (Lock Down).

o   Satan wants you to lose focus and make a mistake.

o   His formula is Desire into Isolation into Depression into Deception (James 1:14-15).

o   Deception = “Unworthy Life” or “Solution Death” = Suicide (physical/spiritual)

§  Solutions

o   Share the Burden – shed the light to eliminate the darkness, sprinkle with salt to alter the taste.  Confession with Counsel. (Mt 11:28, Gal 6:2, James 5:16, Prov 15:22)

o   Mourn with Hope (Mt 5:4)

o   Stay away from the ledge, stop the issue (Heb 10:26)

o   Resist the Devil by following Jesus (James 4:7)

o   Armor Up, Stand Firm (Eph 6:10-18)

o   Foot of the Cross (Don’t just go there, stay there)

§  Fix Thoughts (Phil 4:4, Heb 12:2, Deut 6:6-9)

§  Cast Anxiety, No Condemnation (1Pet 5:7, Rom 8:1; remember Moses, David, Paul)

§  You are not Alone, not abandoned (1Cor 10:13, Deut 31:6)

§  Trust Him for Purity & Value (Heb 10:22, 1John 1:9)

§  Prayer (Ps 50:15)

§  Bible (Ps 119:105, 2Tim 3:16-17, Heb 4:12, Deut 6:6-9)
