Psalm 9:1-10

I Will because He Is
David sings of his response to who God is.  Notice his response of action comes first; Acts 16:22-40.  Our relationship with God takes some responsive initiative to touch His Being; we must reach out our hand of desire & faith.  We reach & seek because of who He is and in our response we find deeper and broader revelation of His superior majesty, mercy, love & grace.  The deeper we dive, the clearer our view.  The more we lean, the more He holds.  We should seek to fully engage God!

1.      Praise - HALLELUJAH!

a.      All out recognition of who God is and what He has done.  Proclaiming His awesome greatness in full heartfelt devotion (not superficial activity).

b.      Doesn't start with a "feeling".  It is a discipline that yields a spiritual sensational response.  Praise is an act of humility that ignites the Holy Spirit.

c.       Focus on Praise, not on Problems.  View world from the Mountain Top not from the Valley.  Psalm 8 Focus!

d.      Focused (Forced) Remembrance; don't lazily forget!  Spiritual Positioning

2.      Tell - like kindergarten we need to SHOW & TELL

a.      Live Out Loud (Mt. 5:16, 1 Peter 2:12) - your life should be evidence of Jesus!

b.      Personal Living Proof is most effective tool of impact (Jared, Subway)

c.       Just the Facts (John 9:25) - no debate, just my experience.

d.      Testimony =BC-TP-AC;  Situational Testimonials = 'If it weren't for Jesus...'

3.      Glad & Rejoice - no circumstantial attitude Phil. 4:4

a.      Eye on the Prize, Mt. 5:12

b.      Confidence in the outcome, Rom. 8:28 (our disappointments are His appointments)

c.       Life Perspective - Lam. 3:17-33

4.      Sing - Psalm 149:3-4, 150:1-6;  Expression of our Emotional Connection, Gift of Praise
