Holding the Rope of Promise

“Choose this day whom you will serve” (Josh. 24:15) AND how you will serve him?  If we serve a risen Savior, if we’ve read Revelations & know He’s coming back, since we trust His promises, if we know that we are victors (more than conquerors, Rom 8:37); THEN we should be the most optimistic, positive people on the Earth.  The cards this world deals us matter not; for through the blood of Jesus we hold a Royal Flush; WE WIN!

1.     Shout for Joy; REGARDLESS – Nothing sadder than a barren, desolate women, BUT with the touch of Jesus she may be the most fertile of all human beings (Mother Teresa).  Is your singing circumstantial? If so, stop it! (Rom 8:18-21, 2Cor. 4:8-18).  BEWARE: Satan wants you frustrated, withdrawn, compromising, then diluted (ineffective); in that order!  The path of Satan has a hopeless end; the path of Jesus has an endless hope.  You choose!

2.     Enlarge your EXPECTATIONS  How do you see your future?  (Eph 3:20; Rom. 8:31, 1Chron. 4:10).  Prepare for possibility & pursue the path to advance towards His vision.  Proactive Intentionality!

3.     Stretch your VISION – Stretching is a painful effort to over-commit your muscles (elasticity) such that they can go beyond the norm; flexible to react.  For a God who can do all things; achievement is less about your ability and more about your expandability.  How big is our God?  (Rom. 8:38-39).  You only will see physical obstacles as spiritual opportunities, if & when you determine that the ‘gates of hell shall not prevail’!

4.     Lengthen your REACH – We have an amazing capacity to influence if we only would live to give.  Your touch is not limited by the length of your arm but by your willingness to reach.  We reach to cast a seed by meeting a need. Our focus thus is on the seed, let God handle the harvest (Gal 6:7-10).

5.     Strengthen your FOUNDATION – Shake off the curse (1Pet. 5:7) and fight for the blessing!  Get out of the rut (grooved depression, open ended grave, spiritual softness) onto higher ground.  (Philippians 1:6, 4:19)
